Sacred Art Workshop

WHO: Needlepointers (new and experienced), Art Teachers
For this our first Sacred Art Workshop, we will focus on two tracks: The Art & Craft of Needlepoint, and The Catholic School Art Teacher. Participants in both tracks will be enriched by lectures on the place of art in contemplation, catechesis, and evangelization.
Those who are interested in taking up or advancing in the craft of needlepoint will practice necessary skills and discuss how to form a local guild to share this artistic treasure through the parish and down the generations.
Art teachers will discuss evangelizing through art and how to inspire the next generation of local artisans, as well as engaging in some hands-on artistic creation.
This workshop is open to anyone, members and friends of the Ordinariate alike, and it coincides with the Sacred Art Live! event on campus for our participants to enjoy.

Registration fee is $100 to defray the cost of meals, materials, etc.

NOTE: Each parish is responsible for sending and arranging for the cost of accommodations for participants. The chancery will be providing details by email to each participant about local hotel accommodations for the weekend. Please plan accordingly.
